A GUEST FROM THE USA
We have a very special guest musician joining us on Monday Dec 8^th.

For big rock-star type contractual reasons we can’t mention names BUT we can say that this guy played drums for me on many occasions in the USA and will be in Australia only very briefly. He was very keen to play an Aussie Souldiggers gig so we’ve set one up on the only date available to us – hence the Monday night slot.
He’s worth the punt folks – Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and George Benson are just a few names from his long and impressive resume.
It’ll be a concert style gig at Frankston’s Cube 37 ... 03 9784 1060 for tickets. Details below.

 

SYDNEY
 Hot on the heels of a hectic weekend playing some very enjoyable gigs in SE Queensland, it’s off to Sydney NSW to be re-united with those intrepid and not-half infamous Sydney Souldiggers.

This troupe includes the inventive space-bass maniac Steve Sampson and the ever evolving, bow-constricting fiddle master Adrian Keating both of whom made up 2 thirds of the legendary Classically Blue with yours truly back in ancient times. (Yes, we mixed de old down-home blues with classical music – gasp!)

We’ll also have drummer Gordon Rytmeister on board too who lately has been nurturing this country’s future as a musical behemoth through his TV work with the Australian Idol TV Show (really) hmmm ... perhaps I’d better practice some of that expert celebrity-type smiling and see if Gordon can get me on TV!

 

CANBERRA

I’m dropping into good ol’ Canberra on my way home to play a full Solo Acoustic show at the Old Canberra Inn on Sunday 23^rd That will be fun!

 

QUEENSCLIFF

Back in Melbourne I have a couple of time-slots at the great Queenscliff Music Festival both Solo Acoustic and with the Melbourne Souldiggers.

 

GEELONG

They’re just an hour set each but those appearances will hopefully remind our beloved Bellarine Peninsula brethren that we are indeed back on deck and returning to Geelong the following week to serve up the full, no holds barred show at The Studio in Geringhap St.

 

MELBOURNE

December we have a nice line-up of gigs back at a lot of our favourite old Melbourne haunts. We kick that off in the first week with a couple of solo shows at the Mt. Dandenong Hotel in Olinda and a pleasant Sunday afternoon on the Heritage Tavern veranda in Balnarring.
